THE PROJECT
Project Overview
This Austria project involved customized LiFePO4 battery solutions for solar lighting equipment. MANLY supplied a 12.8V 6Ah configuration for solar lawn lighting and 12.8V 25.6Ah batteries for solar street lighting.
The project also includes a documented 12.8V 20Ah configuration with a column-shaped structure. Both physical designs of the 25.6Ah battery were supplied, offering different dimensional profiles for battery integration.
For new projects, battery dimensions, electrical specifications and optional heating requirements can be reviewed according to the customer’s equipment design.

CUSTOM BATTERY DESIGN
Different Battery Shapes for Different Solar Lighting Designs
Solar lighting equipment can have different battery installation requirements depending on the enclosure design and available space. This project spans a cylindrical 6Ah pack, a column-shaped 20Ah pack and two distinct 25.6Ah designs.
The two 25.6Ah configurations demonstrate how the same nominal voltage and capacity can be manufactured with different physical profiles. Mechanical dimensions, wiring and packaging must be checked against the equipment design.
- Custom battery dimensions and physical profiles
- Capacity and cell-arrangement options
- PVC packaging and electrical connections
- Application-based battery design
For new projects, MANLY reviews these options against the equipment’s confirmed mechanical and electrical requirements.
Optional Heated Batteries for Cold-Weather Solar Lighting
New project development. Heating is not a confirmed feature of the historical Austria deliveries.
For new solar lighting projects operating in cold environments, MANLY can evaluate heated versions of the configurations shown here. Integration requires consideration of heating elements, temperature sensors, BMS control and electrical connections.
Additional components may change the original dimensions, weight and internal arrangement. Historical battery dimensions should not be treated as confirmed dimensions for heated versions.
- Heating element integration
- Temperature-based heating control
- Low-temperature charging management
- Customized packaging and revised dimensions
- Application-specific electrical design
MANLY can review the available installation space and charging conditions during development and propose a revised battery structure.
Engineering confirmation required: Heated configurations are available for evaluation on new projects. Final dimensions, heating performance, operating limits and electrical specifications require confirmation.
